Meditations on Temporalities and Geographies of Knowledge
Silvio Torres-Saillant
4 p.m. November 5; Alumni Recital Hall, Redfern Art Center
This presentation looks at critical issues of Hispanic/Latino identity, experience, and knowledge as a social construction, both in the Caribbean and the USA. The speaker will explore such questions as: What defines a historically specific yet diverse canon of postcolonial studies? What are sources of discomfort and anxiety produced by the postcolonial paradigm?
