Suzanne Charles, Virginia Knapp, and Marilyn McMaster, Keene High School
10 a.m. Friday, November 6; Mountain View Room, Student Center
At Keene High, we have two active exchanges: one with the Lycee Lumiere in France, and one with the Colegio Agave in Spain. We take local learning of a second language and put it to global use. The exchange programs facilitate international relationships and friendships, which help make our students global citizens. The exchange programs add vitality to our academic content and school community as students see a real-world use for their language learning through hosting foreign students and traveling to other countries. Three teachers from the World Language Department at Keene High School will discuss the school’s innovative program, and they will present guidelines to help high school language teachers develop successful international exchange programs.
How is KSC tied to events on the local, national, and global scale? Check out this wall-sized poster
that will be on display in the Student Center Atrium throughout the Symposium to find out.
