Different Ways of Knowing, Teaching, and Learning Part I

In what ways can educators maximize the learning experience of students from various minority backgrounds? How can teachers connect students with the concepts of service and social engagement on a local and global scale? Panelists will explore educational approaches developed through their experiences in the instruction of First Nations (American Indian) students and students with various linguistic and ethnic backgrounds in Francophone Canada and the United States. Placing education in national and international contexts, they will examine issues fundamental to the development of pedagogical theory in North America and, specifically, at Keene State College.
