2 p.m. Thursday, November 5; Mountain View Room, Student Center
Can international educational bring about transformative changes at the individual, community, and global levels? Several examples of study away programs serve as agents of change. We’ll begin with an overview of study away and international education and how they merge the local and global. We’ll look at ecovillages and how they serve as ideal environments for students to gain first-hand experience with sustainable practices and lifestyles. We’ll discuss the Bapagrama study away program in India and how students there learn about education for social change.
How is KSC tied to events on the local, national, and global scale? Check out this wall-sized poster
that will be on display in the Student Center Atrium throughout the Symposium to find out.
