Yesterday we received our very first significant amount of snow. About 4-6 inches fell in the region which made for a beautiful sight around campus. Some classes were cancelled but the college remained open. All the snow put everyone in a festive mood, just in time for the Winter Celebration today in the Student Center. The Winter Celebration is a chance for students, faculty and staff to come together and celebrate the start of winter and the end of a great semester. Student groups and offices around campus set up tables and displays allowing anyone to stop by for soup, hot cocoa, crafts etc. My favorite are the two chocolate fountains that sit in the center of the student center and allow you to dip pretzels and fruit. Yum!
In addition to the Winter Celebration we also had former President Bill Clinton on campus today. It is a very exciting time to be at Keene State!
