3. Discuss Kline, “The Voice of the Customer”
5. Break
6. Distribute full calendar for course, HW 6, and HW 7, all of which can also be accessed on the Documents for ITW 101 page.
7. Look at the social bookmarking website del.icio.us (pronounced “delicious”). As you explore topics in social computing for your semester-long project, feel free to use my bookmarks, including the lists of sites I’ve tagged “cool,” “examples,” or “social computing.”

Look at examples of social computing–mashups, and more.

3. HW 5 reminder: take responsibility for watching T Blog for links to podmates’ blogs in sidebar as they appear. Deadline in flux.
4. Discuss HW 4, David Kline’s “Blogs Will Change Your Business”
5. Break
6. Distribute HW 6, HW 7. Full calendars to be distributed next class. All three available on the “Documents for ITW 101″ page.
7. Go over types of social computing. Group work defining and giving examples of social computing terms.

The agenda for the first class meeting of the Monday/Wednesday section was:

1. Introductions
2. Review syllabus 
3. Break at about 12:50
4. Hand out calendar, reading response blog sheet, and HW 1 instructions.
5. Demonstrate how to create a blog on Keeneweb with Wordpress (Thank you, Hanna!), as described in HW 1.
6. Explanation of the assignment to find an interesting post on one of the blogs relevant to the course on the Blogs I’m Watching page of T Blog.

I forgot to distribute the HW 2 handout, so I dropped it in campus mail to the students who were present in class today.

I enjoyed meeting the students in the class, even though Butterfield 214 sounds like a wind tunnel!
