About
Student Government is the governing body for policies affecting the student body. We oversee the constitutions and financial needs of all student activity fee-supported student organizations. We also provide student representation on the College Senate. We are responsible for informing students on issues and policies affecting them and making recommendations to the administration.
The voting body of Student Government is called the Student Assembly. It is a collection of elected students who advocate for the issues of the Student Body. Their duties consist of but are not limited to:
- Aiding with the startup of Student Organizations
- Oversight of Student Organizations in accordance with Student Assembly bills, the Student Organization handbook, and other college policies.
- Dispersing the Student Activity Fee by authority granted by the college president, Dr. Giles Gee
- Endorsing various Student Fees
- Representing student’s interests on policy issues of Keene State College
Student Assembly consists of:
- Student Body President/VP/Trustee (non-voting)
- Vice Presidents of each class (except Seniors)
- Four Representatives from each class (Seniors have five)
- Non-traditional Representatives
