I think life and the process of human development should be much more about free will than abiding to norms and traditions. It is rather unfortunate that a college degree gives you more credibility and prestige in the work field, it is my feeling that experience, both life and work, should be the bigger dictators of what kind of person you are and what capabilites you have. Not a lot of people are exposed to a lot of diversity here because the majority of us are from New England and there isn't that much diversity. My friend goes to school in Virigina and when she is home she always tells me how much different it is between the two. Experiencing diversity can be a culture shock but it is something we should all experience, like in this movie. I feel like technology is getting out of control and the use of text messaging and instant messaging is at an all time high. Some students can't go threw an hour and a half class without texting and communicating with their friends.
