Education: Private School versus Public School
By Lisa Manocchi
Today we have the option to choose if we want a public or private school. In first deciding a school you need to know the differences in these types of schools. Private schools require those entering to pay tuition every year ranging up to $28,000, while public schools are funded by the government and are free for the students. One main thing that you look at to decide weather private or public school is best is the curriculum the school offers. Private schools are known to be more rigorous, while public schools are generalized for everyone with the basic requirements the state makes. Safety is another large issue in deciding whether or not private school is the best choice. Since private schools are free to pick and choose who enters there is a lower crime and violence rate, which in some areas one would prefer to be at the private school. Education is a large part of society and choosing the right place to get your education is an important factor.
