Who really suffers in a divorced family?

Viewpoints

By Steph Duplisea

When we look at the causes and effects of divorce on families, I have noticed the “cause” often deals with the couple and the members of the family. However, children are most affected. We live in a society that has become so fast paced that when couples divorce they might not realize how much of an effect their decision will change their child’s life, mostly emotionally. Of course there are special cases where divorce is the best for all members of the family and has a positive impact on their child’s life if it ends in a friendly divorce. But unfortunately most divorce cases have a negative impact on the whole family, for the parents tend to have financial problems, angry, and emotional broken. Every child will be impacted in a different way depending on their age gender and stage of development all the way from infants to teenagers. During the process of a divorce everyone suffers at one point.
