“If you know the way, light it for others.”

Before you leave for breaks you need to remove all of your belongings from the bathroom.  this includes all items from the shower, toilet area, and vanity.  You should also remove all bath mats, rugs, and bathroom furniture that was not supplied by the college.  If you fail to remove thigns from the bathroom you run the risk of things being thrown away and/or your bathroom not being cleaned.  If you have questions please see your RA/RD!!!

And - for your reference - check out this website that contains extremely useful information on how to really clean your bathroom!

your TOY sack that is!

Pondside is now collecting toys & toiletries for Head Start Families in Keene!

We are looking for…

TOYS!! many of the children’s toys were left behind when they moved to the homeless shelter (mainly for children and babies, ages 0-6yrs): dolls, lego’s, coloring books, trucks, cars, puzzles, etc.!

Toletries:  Food Stamps and assistance programs only cover food.  Many of the families could use toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, kotec pads/ tampons etc.

The families can ALWAYS use new pillows and blankets for the winter

Gift Certificates that are child friendly would also be appreciated: Resturants like friendlys…etc

Please drop off donations with your RA or in the Pondside Office!

We will also be coming around to collect spare change - check the blog for dates & times!

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR GIVING THESE CHILDREN A HAPPY&MEMORABLE HOLIDAY SEASON!

Sometime on Saturday night someone or some people went through Pondside Hall  tarring down fliers and bulletin boards.  They also caused a small hole in the wall by the Ashuelot room. This type of behavior is disrespectful and goes against the expectations of the community and Keene State. This e-mail is not only to inform you of this incident but to request that we come together as a community to find out what happened and/or who is responsible. If you know any information about what happened please pass it along to me by Thursday 11/20/2008 at noon. If I am unable to discover who is responsible the responsibility falls to the community and you will be charged for the damage. I am confident that we can work together so that charging the community does not have to happen, because I am sure that as you are reading this you are saying that it is unfair to charge the community. Let’s start asking each other questions and start listening and see what unfolds. My staff and I can only do so much and that is why I am asking for your help. Please let me know if you have any questions or information and thanks in advance for your help.

The Pondside Staff would like to recognize or wonderful Residents of the Month.  Residents of the Month are nominated by staff members by doing something extra special in our community.  Congratulations & keep up the good work!!!!
