What A Wonderful World

Well, after a nice break, it was time for me to get back to work. I was a sub at my old high school today, and after my day today, I can say that I’m glad I did not chose to teach high school. I was talking to a para that was there when I was a student, and she told me the students get worse and worse every year. Great. Well, I know how to deal with elementary school children, but high schoolers are a bit more difficult because they know how to manipulate you; elementary and middle school students do too, but they can be outsmarted. And I get to do it all again tomorrow!
Although, the exciting thing about all this was getting to talk with my former teachers on a colleague level. It’s a weird feeling, wanting me to call them by their first name. It seems weird to me, but I guess to them, they don’t care.
On another note, I leave for Ecuador in 16 days!!!
Oh yea…
