IHHIST 253 The Second World War
ECON 470 INTERNATIONAL TRADE & FINANCE
RATIONALE:
This course draws upon an area of expertise that Assistant Professor Armağan Gezici has specialized in her research.
• By changing the wording in the description from “macroeconomic theory” to “economic theory,” we are suggesting a broader theoretical scope that would entail the use of both macro and microeconomic theory. Microeconomic theory will be the main theoretical framework for the “international trade” section of the course.
• In line with these changes in the description and focus of the course, we are removing “Advanced Macroeconomics” from the list of prerequisites. The knowledge of both microeconomics and macroeconomics necessary in the course will be gained in ECON 250.
These changes will improve the course and make it both broad and compact with its redefined focus.
