The opening exercises on Tuesday, September 28, 1909, featured a scripture reading by Principal Jeremiah M. Rhodes, an invocation by Rev. E. A. Renouf, addresses by Martin V. B. Clark, Mayor of Keene, Col. Bertram Ellis, president of the Board of Education, Principal Dr. James E. Klock of the Plymouth normal school, and Superintendent of Public Instruction Henry C. Morrison.

Opening Day Program

On September 27, the Keene Evening sentinel published the program of activities for the opening of the Keene Normal School, and described the work that had been done on the Hale building.
