Exercises Opening Keene Normal School
The opening exercises on Tuesday, September 28, 1909, featured a scripture reading by Principal Jeremiah M. Rhodes, an invocation by Rev. E. A. Renouf, addresses by Martin V. B. Clark, Mayor of Keene, Col. Bertram Ellis, president of the Board of Education, Principal Dr. James E. Klock of the Plymouth normal school, and Superintendent of Public Instruction Henry C. Morrison.
Professor Rhodes Accepts
Jeremiah M. Rhodes accepted the position of principal of the Keene normal school by telegram two weeks after the offer was made.
