MORE MONEY WANTED

City to be Asked to Help Purchase Pearson Property to Add to Normal School Site.

Mayor Clark has received from H. C. Morrison, state superintendent of education and a member of the board of normal school trustees, a communication asking him to call a meeting of the city councils on Thursday evening to give himself and Hon. Charles R. Corning of the normal school board an opportunity to present to the councils a proposal for joining with the trustees in purchasing the Pearson place on Main street to add to the normal school site.

The trustees expect to have $5,000 or more in their hands after making the alterations that will be necessary upon the Hale property, and it is understood that Gov. Quimby and the trustees believe it would be in the best interests of the school in the future to use this money, with a sufficient sum which the city will be asked to make up and add the Pearson place to the normal school site, and in this connection the conference with the councils is desired.

The city has today secured a deed of the Hale property from Mrs. Woodbury for $12,000, and has conveyed the same to the state of New Hampshire, the deed of conveyance having been forwarded to the normal school trustees by registered mail.
