The normal school committee, visiting the towns that had expressed interest in hosting a normal school, arrived in Keene on February 20 and spent part of the following day touring Keene, inspecting the schools, and visiting possible locations for a normal school, being especially impressed by the ex-Governor Hale property.

The legislative committee on the state normal school, which is visiting different towns where it is desired to have a school located, are to reach Keene this evening on the train from Concord and will remain until tomorrow afternoon. The committee will be met here by the mayor, a committee from the council and from the board of education.
