Hometown: Manchester, N.H.

Major: Social Science

What I like about my major: It has given me the opportunity to take a wide spectrum of courses from Sociology of the Holocaust to International Politics.

Faculty or staff Mentor: It’s hard to name just one. I found support from faculty and staff through everything I was involved in.

Favorite professor: Professor Benay

Activities: KSC Democrats, Global Village: Guatemala, Student Government, Orientation leader, Center for Writing tutor

Things I do with my friends: Hang out downtown, ski, hike, and pretty much just chill

The one thing I’m proudest of: My involvement with KSC Democrats and our success in increasing student voter turnout. Students showed up to vote in greater numbers than ever before at KSC.

I picked KSC because: Initially because of the proximity to home. But I stayed because of the incredible sense of community and small town New England setting.

Personal and career goals: As of right now I’m headed to the mountains of Colorado to work with a youth organization. After that, who knows, maybe law school!

KSC has changed me in this way: It has opened me up to the endless possibilities the world holds and provided me with the tools to be successful in whatever it is I choose to do.

Internship: I held an internship/practicum with Jeanne Shaheen’s U.S. Senate Campaign.

My sponsor was: Mike Welsh

International travel: Global Village: Guatemala was one of the most rewarding experiences of my college years and one that I would encourage anyone to try. As college students we often live our lives in a bubble, unaware of everything else going on in the world. This experience bridged that gap and touched everyone involved showing us how truly fortunate we are.
