Welcome to KSC100. We’ve put together a little list of frequently asked questions, or, rather, questions we think you would ask frequently if they weren’t already right here for you.

  • So what’s the story on this site, anyway?

This is KSC100, your source for news — and more — concerning the centennial celebration of Keene State College, formerly known as Keene Teachers’ College, formerly known as Keene Normal School. We’ll feature some walks down memory lane, and some opportunities for you to share your own stories and pictures of what Keene, and the school, were like in your day — even if your day is still happening. Come back often for pictures, video interviews, and stories from the past and present. And comment, often; this is your community.

  • I never know when to look at the site. Can you help with that?

We update a few times a week. We know, sometimes you forget to check. That’s OK. You know it’s hilarious and poignant, but you’re busy.

You can get all this hilarity and poignancy emailed straight to you, so you don’t have to remember to check.

Here is the miracle of the RSS feed.

Go to http://feedblitz.com.

Scroll down to where it will allow you to enter a url, and enter http://keeneweb.org/ksc100 in the box.

The next screen will ask you to enter your e-mail address and verify that you’re not a robot. Do that, and voila! KSC100 updates direct to your e-mail.

Feedblitz is not the only service that will allow you to do that, but it is an easy one. And it will allow you to do the same for other sites you want to follow, too.

Or, if you want to know how to use a reader that won’t clutter your inbox, Common Craft has an excellent video to explain it to you:

  • This is all very cute, but I just want some information. Where’s the information?

Keene State College’s main Centennial site is at www.keene.edu/ksc100. It’s where we keep the really useful stuff, including a list of committees and a list of events.

  • Great, information. But really, I’ve got this credit card burning a hole in my pocket. Where can I buy Centennial stuff?

Click here for fabulous KSC Centennial-themed merchandise!

As of this writing, the bookstore is selling Centennial T-shirts for a  mere $7. But there’s more coming soon. You’ll want to watch that space.

  • How can I contact you with my own ideas for what should be here?

Lucy Webb works for the College and Media Relations Office at Keene State, and she is always looking for ideas and suggestions for KSC100 (and Keene State Today, and whether that shirt goes with those pants). She’ll take your photos and stories, too. She also works closely with the Centennial Committee, and can get you in good with them. E-mail her at lwebb1@keene.edu.

  • I submitted a comment a long time ago, and it never showed up. Are you censoring me?

Maybe.

If you are a spammer, we probably deleted your comment.

If your comment was so crude as to be blatantly offensive, we probably deleted your comment, but we probably e-mailed to tell you so and offer you a chance to post something better.

If you posted a completely acceptable comment at 11 on a Friday night and it is now 6 on Monday morning, we probably just haven’t gotten around to approving your comment yet. We approve all the comments that don’t fall into one of those other two categories, but we do it ourselves, during business hours.

If, after reading all of this, you still can’t figure it out, e-mail Lucy at lwebb1@keene.edu to be sure your comment even came through.
