This isn’t to our usual “Um…?” standards, as we can clearly tell that these folks are picketing. We believe they’re faculty. But repeated attempts to identify the folks in the picture, or their cause, or the year, have failed. Can you help? Is it about facial hair?

It’s about 1982, the KSCEA was picketing due to a lack of contract. I think the student with backpack on the left is Cliff Berek. The picketing is taking place in front of the old Science Center entrance.

The individual on the far right,I believe,is Mr. Sullivan (formally taught in the English Dept.) and I think I also recognize the profile of Mr. Leinster (formally taught in the History Dept.). As to their purpose for picketing, I have no idea.

The faculty member with his hand on hip is Dr. Bob Andrews, he taught in Industrial Education was Director of Graduate Studies and Director of Teacher Education/Graduate Studies when he retired in 1999.
