		<description>As a member of the class of '84,this picture brings back a few  memories. R.O.C.K.S. (Recycling on Campus Keene State) was pretty active at that time, and as a student I remember thinking this was a pretty cool thing.

Crossing the railroad trestle in the background was the quickest way to get to Bradlees, IGA, MacDonalds, and so on; but required stepping on the wooden ties, with 6 inch gaps between them going right down to the water. The trains still ran until the early 80's, so you had to pay attention to them before crossing the trestle. 

And some things never change. At the annual river cleanup, students still pull shopping carts out of the river.</description>
