Help wanted
As of January 2008, the members of the Centennial committee on campus, and lots of other folks — faculty, staff, students, alums, retired faculty and staff, community members — have already been working hard on different aspects of the Keene State Centennial. But over the next two years, we’ll need more help, and lots of it. There will be opportunities to share your own stories, of course, but also to staff events, sponsor pieces of the Centennial celebration, sort pictures, offer leadership on committees, lift heavy things…
We’ll post more specific requests for help on this site as we have them, but if you’re so excited to get started you can’t wait another minute, click here to contact Amy Proctor in Advancement.

Brilliant. I love the photo. Is that a 70s mini-fridge?

It may be an early ’80s mini-fridge. We got this photo from the 1981-82 Itsabook, which was a student-created student handbook with some excellent photos.

Ahhhhh, moving day. Is that the old tennis court on Fiske Quad in the background? KSC and the 80’s were the best time of my life.

That is the old tennis court in the background. It was removed in the early 1990’s, and the tennis courts are now located over on Joyce Fields.
If you wanted people on campus to know what was going on, you took a bed sheet, wrote your event information on it, and hung it on the Appian Way end of the tennis court fence. There were a lot of complaints that when the fence came came down, people weren’t going to know what was happening on campus!
And I had forgotten about Itsabook!
