YES……..There are seven new bike racks behind Huntress Hall to store and lock your bike.
Please do not store or lock your bike in the front of Huntress (lamp posts, trees, etc.).

It was great to see so many residents from the HUFI area out yesterday at the polls!
Tuesday, November 4th from 1-2pm the water will be shut off on the North side of Huntress only.

The heat has been turned on today in the Hall!
Please be sure to check your thermostat and look to see that it is not to turn up all the way to high (+ sign). Once the heat comes through the system it can get very warm. You can not turn off the heat, but can control the temperature with your thermostat.
Also, if you hear a whistling or high pitched sound coming from your radiator, please let your RA know asap.

Please do not dump personal trash in trash cans in lobby areas or other communal areas (bathrooms, laundry rooms, etc.). If personal trash becomes an on going problem, the entire Building may be charged.
The question came up regarding residents being able to smoke outside Huntress (on the patio-front or cement spaces outside the side doors).
Please read this information so you understand the smoking policy in the Student Handbook 2008-09.
Smokers CAN NOT smoke by “entrances and outside stairways to buildings and outdoor passageways to entrances and walkways” (p. 57-Student Handbook).
Smoking is ”prohibited within 20 feet of any building and/or air intake unit” (p. 57).
If found smoking less than 20 feet from a building, you may be documented and go to a hearing.
The side doors in Fiske and Huntress are alarmed and should not be used as an entrance or exit unless for a fire emergency. If you are found using these as an entrance or exit you may be documented for a violation.
The hot water will be turned off in the building on Friday, September 19th while repairs are made. No word on when the hot water will be back on-sometime on Friday.
