The company that I chose to look up was Dr. Pepper. This company is mentioned on page 105 of Kline and Burstein. Dr. Pepper was formulated by a German pharmacist named Charles Alderton, the drink was first sold in Waco, Texas in 1885. In 1904 the drink was introduced nationally to the United States. People say that Wade Morrison (the owner of the drugstore that Alderton worked at)  named the beverage after the father of a girl he once loved. I find this company to be very interesting because Dr. Pepper was the first carbonated soft drink! I found the information about Dr. Pepper on wikipedia.com and on drpepper.com.
