Senioritis!! Raise your hand if you have this.
I know this is a very exciting time in your life. As the college acceptance letters arrive in the mail, you become excited and anxious to be done with high school and start a new chapter in your life. Some of you think that because you have already been accepted into the school of your choice it is ok to “slack” off a little and maybe reduce your courseload 2nd semester. At KSC we highly discourage this behavior. When we reviewed your application we looked at all the courses you would be taking senior year; including those 2nd semester. Please do not call or e-mail to say you are dropping a class. It does matter what you take senior year. We expect all accepted students to finish out their senior year successfully. Did you know that in the summer, after you have graduated, we do an audit on your file. This audit allows us to look at your final high school transcript and see how you finished out the year. We look to make sure you finished it successfully. I know this is an exciting time in all your lives, but please, stay in your classes. Graduation will be here soon enough and before you know it you will be here on campus.

Happy New Year! A lot of questions are coming through regarding the recommendation. Many questions are being asked as to if we have a form students can print out and give to their teachers/guidance counselor. We do not have a form. Teachers and Guidance Counselors can write a recomendation on the school’s letter head and include it in your application materials or send it directly to the Admissions office.
