Welcome to Keeneweb

Bored? Well then, welcome to Keeneweb, a pilot web publishing program for students, faculty and staff at Keene State College. Feel free to take a look around and learn a bit more about this whole “blog” thing.
Among other grand ambitions, we hope this new service will act as a tool for KSC community members to not only publish their own web content, but to manage how it’s presented to the world. Once you get the hang of it, it’s really pretty fun and easy.
Keeneweb is powered by the Wordpress Multi-user blogging system; a free, open-source application that allows users to manage their site’s own content while offering a variety of design templates - or “themes” - for a site’s look and feel.
Most Wordpress themes also come equipped with built-in RSS feeds, making them ideal for sites with regularly updated content (a college course, for example). Using their favorite RSS reader, people can then subscribe to a site’s RSS feed and immediately see new posts as soon as they are published. Cool, eh?
On the top of this page you’ll see some links. Here you can get your own blog or user account (for an existing blog), read the Keeneweb/Wordpress F.A.Q., or check out lessons for Wordpress beginners. A handy how-to document is also forthcoming at some point.
The only thing you need to get your own blog or user account is a valid keene.edu or mailcruiser email account (as well as agree to abide by the guidelines of the KSC Computer and Network Use Policy).
So thanks for stopping by. Your blogging journey begins just a few clicks away.
Cheers,
The KeeneWeb Team
